Þriðjudaginn 20. ágúst 2013 mun fara fram mat á rannsóknarverkefni Ragnýjar Þóru Guðjohnsen doktorsnema við Menntavísindasvið. Heiti verkefnisins er Young people’s views towards active citizenship The role of volunteering and empathy
Áfangamatið fer fram í tvennu lagi; fyrst kynnir Ragný Þóra rannsóknarverkefni sitt í stofu K 205 kl. 13 – 14 þennan dag og er sú kynning opin nemum í framhaldsnámi og akademískum starfsmönnum. Síðan er fundur þar sem matsnefnd fær tækifæri til að ræða rannsóknaráætlunina við Ragnýju Þóru. Fundurinn er öðrum lokaður. Kynningin og fundurinn fara fram á ensku.
Tilgangur matsins er tvíþættur eins og fram kemur í Reglum um doktorsnám við Menntavísindasvið: Að meta hæfni doktorsnemans til að framkvæma rannsókn sína og að veita endurgjöf svo að doktorsverkefnið verði svo gott sem verða má.
Í matsnefndinni sitja leiðbeinendur Ragnýar Þóru Guðjohnsen, aðalleibeinandi dr. Sigrún Aðalbjarnardóttir prófessor Menntavísindasviði og Steinunn Hrafnsdóttir dósent, Félagsráðgjafadeild báðar við Háskóla Íslands, tveir utanaðkomandi prófdómarar: dr. Helen Haste, prófessor við Háskólan í Bath UK og dr. Ómar Hlynur Kristmundsson prófessor við stjórnmálafræðideild, Háskóla Íslands, Dr. Ragnhildur Bjarnadóttir, prófessor er formaður matsnefndar og stýrir athöfninni og Sólrún B. Kristinsdóttir er ritari.
Eins og að ofan segir eru nemar í framhaldssnámi og akademískir starfsmenn boðnir velkomnir til að hlýða á kynningu Ragnýar Þóru á doktorsverkefni sínu.
An interim evaluation at the School of Education
The evaluation of Ragný Þóra Guðjohnsen´s doctoral project will taka place August 20th 2013 at University of Iceland, School of Education, Stakkahlíð. The title of the proposal: Young people’s views towards active citizenship The role of volunteering and empathy
The evaluation will be in two parts: First the doctoral student‘s presentation of her doctoral project in room K 205 at 13-14. The presentation is open to postgraduate students and academic staff. Secondly an evaluation meeting for a discussion of the project. The meeting is open only to the doctoral student and the Evaluation Committee. The language of the presentation and the meeting will be English.
The purpose of the evaluation is twofold, as the rules of the Doctoral School indicate: To evaluate the doctoral student‘s competence in conducting the proposed doctoral research project and to provide her with feedback to do this as well as may be.
The evaluation committee consist of Ragný Þóra´s supervisors dr. Sigrún Aðalbjarnardóttir professor, main supervisor, School of Education and Steinunn Hrafnsdóttir associate professor, dep. of Social Science both at University of Iceland and two external examiners: dr. Helen Haste, professor at Bath University UK and dr. Ómar Hlynur Kristmundsson professor Faculty of Political Science, University of Iceland. Chairman of the evaluation committee dr. Ragnhildur Bjarnadóttir, professor directs the proceedings and Sólrún B. Kristinsdóttir is secretary.
