Fostering vibrant schools: Nurturing compassion, building trust, and celebrating strengths

Too often, school is just not fun anymore.  The students are not happy nor are the adults. The accountability movement has driven much of the joy and creativity out of schools. Schools have become places of fear, anxiety, and pressure to pass high-stakes tests, which has resulted in a narrowing of the goals and purposes of school.  Educators long for schools where kids can be kids. Join us as we explore what makes a school a vibrant place to be a place where collaboration, creativity, and connection are nurtured to support agency and independent thought through compassion, trust, andadopting a strengths-based orientation. Let's imagine together schools where curiosity and the joy of discovery are fostered, and where there is room for laughter, movement and play.
