Þriðjudaginn 8. apríl kl. 12 heldur James Warren fyrirlestur í Lögbergi 201 í boði Heimspekistofnunar. Hann verður fluttur á ensku og ber heitið „Epicureans on Hidden Beliefs“. Um efnið segir:
The Epicureans thought that sometimes a person might suffer psychic distress and engage in harmful behaviour because of beliefs that the patient holds but is not aware of holding. These beliefs are hidden from the believer but evident in the believer's outward attitudes and behaviour. I consider two passages that outline the nature of such beliefs (one from Philodemus and another from Diogenes of Oinoanda) and then evaluate the Epicurean thesis.
