Í fyrirlestrinum fjallar hann um nokkra þættir sem hafa áhrif á það hvernig hjón skipta á milli sín ólaunuðum heimilisverkum á Spáni.
Nánari lýsing á erindi:
Intra-household gender inequality in housework is analysed using data from 2003 and 2010 Spanish Time Use Survey. We tested empirically the gender deviance neutralisation hypothesis in the Spanish case.
We aim at determining the existence of eventual undoing and re-doing gender processes.
We hypothesize that:
1) time disposability of the other member of the couple has a different effect in approaching the wife/husband to their own potential unpaid work time
2) having a partner who is unemployed has a different impact on the time used in unpaid care work of wives and husbands
3) important differences exist between men and women in relation to how gender identity affects the potential time devoted to unpaid care work.
